Xe
Services
XE Services, founded in 1997 by former Navy Seals Erik Prince
and Al Clark, is a private military and security contractor providing ambassadorial protection
services to the federal government of the United States of America (USA). It is currently the
largest of the three providers of private security solutions of the United States of America (USA).
The company also provides training to its private military and caters the security and protection
needs of not only governments but of commercial industries as well, both domestic and foreign. The
company is based in Arlington, Virginia and currently has training facilities in North Carolina,
California, Connecticut, and Afghanistan.
Other than catering the training and security needs of domestic and
foreign client, XE Services also specializes in staff intensification, mission support, risk
management, security consultancy, disaster response, forward-base operations, stability support,
and law enforcement. The company has gone through a lot already. It has received its first
government contract in October of year 2000, after winning the bid on the contract after the USS
Cole incident. Shortly after its first government contract, it was hired to take charge of many
more security services of the United States of America (USA) and other private industries,
including communications, petroleum, and insurance companies.

Xe Services
During its humble beginnings until its vast success in training and security services, it
is estimated that XE Services has received over one billion US dollars in US government contracts alone. But just
like any other successful celebrity, controversies did not let the company escape. After being accused of killing
17 civilians on September 16, 2007, it has been under extreme scrutiny ever since. However, despite all the
controversies it has been going through for almost four years since 2007, the company has been awarded a $250
million contract by the Obama administration to work for the US State Department and the Central Intelligence
Agency in Afghanistan.
Over the years, XE Services has also changed its name for several times. It was formerly
named Blackwater Worldwide and was subsequently renamed as XE Services LLC. For the almost fifteen (15) years
of its existence, it has been under the management of several different Chief Executive Officers (CEO) and Chief
Operating Officers (COO). Along with its name change to Academi, it also has a new array of services offered to the
market, such as security assessment and risk assessment services for both the government and private
industries.
The ability of XE Services to provide solidity and security to people in locations
reaching the world’s most perilous environments is definitely at its foundation. They are competent enough in terms
of organizing effectively and efficiently to cater to the growing demands for security worldwide. The company takes
pride in the ability to execute with proficient agility, and at the same time, respecting the norms and cultures of
their different clients. To date, XE Services continues to specialize in the provision of appropriate training and
security to local and national governments, commercial industries worldwide, and forming allies with only the best
law enforcement agencies worldwide.
